Infrared Asphalt Repair
Infrared repair is a process that uses infrared to preheat the existing asphalt so it can for a same temperature bond with the new asphalt. This process creates a more solid and longer lasting bond between the old and new asphalt.
Uses a cold bond method, the heated new asphalt is mixed with lower temperate surrounding asphalt. This creates a cold bond and can become a point of weakness that water and dirt can get into leading to the new repair breaking down.
Uses infrared to preheat existing asphalt to create a same temperature bond between new and existing asphalt. With this process we work together the heat softened existing asphalt and the new so we get a same temperate bond that is stronger and more resistant to water and dirt getting into the patched area.

Our main areas of concern
- Removing existing asphalt and confirming types of base gravels used before
- Identifying tree roots and any drainage concerns to troubleshoot
- Selecting the right asphalt mix so you have the smooth look and strength you need. Smoother finishes have a finer mixture but lower strength while stronger mixtures have a rougher finish.
Our process for quality
Review the current base to ensure it can handle the intended use and confirm we have the correct base for site usage.
Remove any loose materials or standing water in the area to be repaired.
Rejuvenators maybe added prior to heating aged white asphalt to turn it black and lessen heating times.
Position our infrared panel over the area being repair to preheat surround asphalt to the correct temperate for the repair. With 10 to 15 minutes the existing asphalt will be up to working temperature and we can remove weakened material to clean up the repair area.
Add new asphalt material and work into the existing asphalt.
